The American Red Cross has announced plans to open a shelter at Theodore High School this afternoon. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Here’s the official statement:

Here is the latest info on weather for the next few days! The official plan for now is to open Theodore High School as an evac shelter at 3 pm Tuesday afternoon. Impacts of the storm Tuesday night will determine closing for this shelter. We have personnel in place for staffing at this time. Feeding plan will be activated for dinner tomorrow night and breakfast if needed based on timing for Wednesday. We will be staffing the Division A Emergency Operations Center if it activates, and the Mobile County EOC beginning tomorrow afternoon. Damage Assessment teams are on standby for work once the weather clears on Wednesday.”
