UPDATE: Bond has been set at $210,000 each for India Nelson and Rory Smith who are charged in the shooting death of Jakory Smith. Prosecutors say the shooting was senseless. It started, they say, over a domestic dispute between the suspects, India Nelson and Rory Smith. The argument led to the gunfire and Jakory Smith was killed. MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police say two people have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.
Police say on Monday, December 24 around 2:27 a.m. officers responded to Carondolet Apartments in the 100 block of Carondolet Court West in reference to a shooting. They found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Mobile Police say 25-year-old India Nelson and 30-year-old Rory Smith were responsible for the death of the teen. Officers located Nelson and Smith and took them into custody.
India Nelson and Rory Smith are both charged with Murder, Shooting into an Occupied Building and Criminal Mischief First Degree.
