Arrest made after police chase ends in Maysville community

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers say they have arrested the driver in a police chase that ended in the Maysville community Wednesday evening.

Lt. Joe Piggott tells News 5 20-year-old Javares Demarko Davis was arrested for attempting to elude. Jail records show he was booked into Metro jail late Wednesday and has since been released on bail.

No one was hurt in the crash.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A police chase ended with multiple people arrested in Mobile Wednesday evening. 

An Alabama State Trooper, involved in the pursuit, attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle on Highway 98 and University Blvd., but the vehicle refused to stop. 

The pursuit continued onto I-65 where they went southbound, turned eastbound on I-10, exited on Michigan Avenue, crashing into a fence at Sligo Street in the Maysville Community. 

Troopers say four people are in police custody. 

No word on charges or the names of the suspects.
