Mobile, Ala. (WKRG) — The man accused of killing a Mobile Police officer earlier this year is scheduled to face a judge later today. Marco Perez will have a preliminary hearing this afternoon.
This hearing could lay out more of the details against Perez in the shooting death of officer Sean Tuder. Perez is accused of trying to evade police for several days before being confronted by Officer Tuder at the Peach Place Apartments last month. The state says Perez shot and killed the officer.
Tuesday’s hearing comes one day after a gag order was issued in the case. The order forbids anyone involved in the capital murder trial from talking to the media or making public statements about the case.
