MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) troopers responded to a crash Dec. 30 that resulted in the death of two people, one being a 1-year-old child.
The crash happened at Mobile County 70 around 11:49 p.m. after a 16-year-old driving a Lexus sedan hit another car head-on.
The 18-year-old driver of the Toyota Camry did survive, but the two passengers did not.
Floridalia Giron Godinez, 30, and a 1-year-old child were pronounced dead on scene.
Currently, it is unknown if the 16-year-old or 18-year-old suffered any injuries.
ALEA troopers are continuing to investigate.
The ALEA originally reported that the 1-year-old passenger was in the Lexus at the time of the accident, but they corrected this statement. The 1-year-old was a passenger in the Toyota Camry.
Godinez was also reported by ALEA to be the driver of the Toyota Camry, but she was also a passenger in this car. The 18-year-old was the driver of the Toyota Camry.
