MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) —

Update: The ride raised more than $10,000 for the American Heart Association

Original Story

Hundreds of bikers are riding across the Gulf Coast Saturday for the WKRG Ace of Hearts Poker Run. The ride benefits the American Heart Association. The unique idea behind the Ace of Hearts ride is that bikers start on both sides of the Alabama and Florida state lines and meet in the middle at Flora-Bama. The ride began at Mobile Bay Harley Davidson and Harley Davidson of Pensacola and riders chose a route stopping at other sponsor businesses along the way.

The bikers all donate to ride raising thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association. WKRG News 5’s John Nodar lead the “Sons of Meteorology,” a group of News 5 employees on the ride. Rose Ann Haven emceed the event.
