Storm debris from last weekend could turn into missiles during high winds

Local News

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) – Storm debris is still strewn all over parts of Jackson County after a tornado hit there last week. And that’s causing more complications during the dangerous storms now barrelling back towards the area. Parts of trees and homes that were hit last week could easily be picked up by high winds and thrown at high speed towards homes, cars and even people.

The other problem is that several homes still have holes in the roofs covered by tarps. With heavy rain on the way that could mean even more damage do those homes.
