MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — As Thanksgiving comes to an end, holiday shopping is just getting started.

McGowan Park shopping started with long lines Thanksgiving afternoon.

“Came out here around 3 o clock, trying to beat the rush,” one shopper told News 5.

The line hundreds waited in wrapped all around the Best Buy building. “It’s a little shorter than I thought it was going to be,” said another shopper.

Many had their eyes on big-ticket items like video game systems and televisions.

After hitting Best Buy, many shoppers went across the street to Old Navy which wasn’t quite as busy.  “Yea, 50-percent off at Old Navy. it’s not bad there’s no line in there.”

An Assistant Manager with Old Navy tells us the store will be open until midnight Saturday.

Best Buy will close at 1 am Friday and reopen at 8 am, then close 10 pm Friday night.
