Fairhope Police say counterfeit money has been circulating in the city.
According to a post on the Fairhope Police Department Facebook Page, several juveniles were seen Wednesday evening, approaching customers at a store in the city. The children were reportedly asking people to get change for a $100 bill.
Not long after that, a business reported an employee accepted a counterfeit $50 bill. Right now, investigators are unsure if the two incidents are related.
