Police: Baker student tried to stab coach with pen

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – A Baker High School student was arrested and charged with assault and resisting arrest after an incident at the school on Thursday. According to Mobile Police, officers were called to the high school when a student was being violent toward staff. Investigators say 19-year old Kodie Nelson tried to bite and spit while fighting with teachers. He also allegedly tried to repeatedly stab a coach with a pen. 

Nelson also allegedly head-butted an officer while being escorted to a patrol car.
