Most people would be a little upset seeing this much damage to a Mercedes, Martie Lysas has a different emotion.

“Relief, because at least we know they found our car,” said Marti Lysas.  She says the car was reported stolen Tuesday morning and verified it was her daughter’s car by watching WKRG’S Facebook Live.

“This is so crazy, I’m so thankful to the Mobile Police department,” said Lysas.  Despite the damage, at least they get their stuff back.

“My daughter has a lot of her school stuff in her car so I think she was more worried about that than anything else.”

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — For the third day in a row, Mobile Police are investigating after suspects in a stolen car ran from police. According to investigators, police spotted a stolen vehicle near Airport Boulevard and Azalea Roads on Wednesday morning. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver took off. After a short chase, the vehicle crashed near Pleasant Valley and Montlimar.

Investigators say two people are now in custody. Another person is on the run, but police have not given a description, other than it is possibly a juvenile.

Mobile Police are actively searching in the area.
