Mobile Police Department’s Chili Cook-off rescheduled ahead of rainy forecast

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Saturday’s rainy forecast has forced organizers to reschedule the Mobile Police Department’s 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off. The family event was originally set for this Saturday, January 19 at Cathedral Square in Downtown Mobile. The new date is Saturday, April 13, from 11:30am to 2pm. 

Teams of Mobile Police Officers will serve up their best chili recipes and attendees will sample and vote on who they think has the best tasting chili. Tickets are $5 per person and children 5 and under get in free. All proceeds go to the Mobile Law Enforcement Foundation and MPD Crime Prevention Unit.

Tickets are $5 per person, and free for children 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at police headquarters (2460 Government Blvd.), MPD Crime Prevention (2407 Airport Blvd.), or at the Downtown Mobile Alliance (261 Dauphin Street).
