Oscar is the 8th hurricane of the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Hurricane Oscar will take a turn to the northeast as it is swept up by a cold front and steered back out into the open Atlantic. It will remain a hurricane for a couple of days before weakening to a tropical storm on a path to northern Europe this weekend.
Oscar is not a threat to the US.
This is the 15th named storm for the Atlantic Hurricane season.
Hurricane season runs through the end of November.
