Delta Dogs working to help Coast Guard pets during government shutdown

Local News

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Delta Dogs, a local non-profit organization that helps with veterinary care for pets, is working to help U.S. Coast Guard families in the Mobile area during the federal government shutdown. The group is asking for donations to help feed the pets of our local Coastie families. Delta Dogs wants to collect 40 bags of dog food and 10 bags of cat food by Saturday, January 19.

A post on the Delta Dogs Facebook page says The Chief Petty Officer Association will help hand out the food. Delta Dogs has also said it will provide Coast Guard pets with immediate health needs access to veterinary care.

All donations can be dropped off at Ark Animal Clinic (Monday-Friday 7am-5:30pm and Saturday 8am-12). All brands of food will be accepted.
