Chickasaw Police looking for stolen car, chase suspect

CHICKASAW, Ala. (WKRG) — Chickasaw Police need your help finding the person who stole a car and led police on a chase Monday night.

Police say the suspect went to a dealership around 9:50 p.m. to look at a black 2010 Dodge Charger and asked to hear how the engine sounds. When the employee went to open the hood, police say the suspect jumped in the car and took off.

A Chickasaw officer happened to be near by and engaged in a pursuit. Police say the driver was reckless and speeding, so they called off the pursuit. The stolen car was found abandoned at LeFlore High School later that night.

The suspect was last seen wearing a blue sweater, black pants and wearing dreadlocks and is about 6 feet with a slim build.
