(WNCT) – Blue Diamond has recalled Vanilla Almond Breeze because the product may contain milk and may be dangerous to people who are allergic or sensitive to it.
HP Hood LLC said that people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The release stated that there has been one report of an allergic reaction.
Medical treatment or hospitalization was not required.
Approximately 145,254 half-gallon cartons of the affected product were shipped to retailers and wholesalers in several states including North Carolina.
The units recalled represent less than 0.8% of half-gallon containers of refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk shipped by Hood in the last twelve months.
The recall only applies to any Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk with a use-by date of September 2.
