Alabama’s alligator hunting season coming soon

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Online registration for Alabama’s 14th annual regulated alligator hunts will begin Tuesday, June 4 at 8 am. 260 Alligator Possession Tags will be available across five hunting zones in the state. 

Applying for an Alligator Possession Tag will cost $22 and all selected hunters and their assistants must have a valid hunting license while hunting. Alabama residents 16 years and older may apply for a tag.

100 tags will be available in the Southwest Alabama Zone, which includes Mobile, Baldwin, Washington, Clarke, and Monroe counties. 50 tags will be available in the Coastal Zone, which includes Mobile and Baldwin counties.
