Thank goodness for Louisiana!

That’s the only worse state to live in than Alabama, according to new rankings from U.S. News & World Report. The publication looked at eight different catagories, placing most weight on health care and education – which its surveys show matter most to people.

Alabama ranked dead last in education, 46th in health care, and 45th in economy, opportunity, and crime. The survey also looked at infrastructure, fiscal stability, and the environment.

Mississippi was ranked 48th overall. Florida was 13th.

According to the study, Washington is the best state, followed by New Hampshire, and Minnesota
