The Gulf Coast CW and WKRG were proud media sponsors of this year’s Baldwin Senior Expo, which took place at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale, AL. Originally, the event was supposed to be in October but had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Michael.
The annual expo was free to the public and drew a large crowd thanks to the variety of organizations and businesses who participate as vendors.
This year, WKRG‘s Bill Riales and The Gulf Coast CW‘s Tori Blackmon represented News 5 at the station’s booth. They met local viewers, talked with fans about programming and even took selfies with a few fans. However, WKRG and The Gulf Coast CW weren’t the only people attendees wanted pictures with!
The world-famous “Saint Nicolas” also drew in a big crowd. Seniors who attended the expo had one of the first opportunities of the season to sit on Santa’s lap for a photo. The joy man in red even sent back a personalized message to The Gulf Coast CW‘s Tori B. (Hope she was good this year!)
None-the-less, this year’s Baldwin Senior Expo was a success just as it has been for so many years before. It goes to show that a hurricane may postpone, but could never prevent a caring community from gathering.
