How to Check a Dripping Faucet

Sponsored Content: Fix this House: Roto Rooter

Is your faucet constantly dripping? If so, it may be a sign the stems are bad. Here are a few easy steps you can do yourself to detect and solve the problem.

First start by turning your hot and cold water supply valves off. These can be found under the sink.

Next, remove the caps off of the handles on the faucet. Look for the screws and unscrew them to pull the handles off

Once you have the hardware removed you will see the rubber pieces. Look and see if they are worn. You can bring these to your local plumbing supply store and them to new ones.

Reinstall the new parts. If the problem persists, call Roto Rooter Mobile at 251-479-9454
