Victim identified in deadly shooting in Mobile

MPD has identified the victim as Tevin Gamble.

Mobile Police continue to investigate the homicide that happened Thursday morning near Stanton Road and Bragdon Ave. Mobile Police say the homicide victim is a 27-year-old man. Officers say the victim was dead when they arrived on the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.

Precautionary lockdown lifted at Holloway Elementary School in Mobile. The school was on lockdown for roughly an hour, after the shooting on Bragdon Avenue. 

Mobile Police confirm a man was shot and killed on Bragdon Avenue, near the intersection of Stanton Road, just after 11 am Thursday. 

A man in the neighborhood tells News 5 he heard about a dozen loud booms around 11 am Thursday.

Holloway Elementary School is on lockdown as a precaution while police look for any suspect or suspects in connection with the deadly shooting on Bragdon Avenue. Holloway Elementary School is just a few blocks away from the scene. 

Mobile Police say they have found multiple shell casings on the ground near the scene. Investigators believe more than one gun was used in the shooting.

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Mobile Police are investigating a deadly shooting off Stanton Road. The shooting was reported just after 11:00 am on Bradgon Avenue in Mobile. Mobile Fire-Rescue officials confirm one person was shot and killed. 

News 5 has a crew headed to the scene.
