MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) City of Mobile Safety Director, James Barber, confirms 19-year old Terrence Sims surrendered to Mobile Police.

It happened Monday morning. He was arrested on the spot for the active murder warrant and a warrant for theft of property for a separate case.

Mobile Police say Sims shot and killed 20-year old Christopher Edwards on February 9th.

It happened in broad daylight at ‘Laced’ on Springhill Avenue.

Four other people were arrested for a shooting in the shopping center but Sims is the only one charged with murder.

News 5 spoke off camera with a store manager from ‘Laced.’ He tells us he was in the back of the store when a man ran in, shot Edwards, then quickly ran away. He said there wasn’t any sort of argument leading up to the shooting.

Sims was booked into Mobile Metro Jail around 12:20PM Monday.
