According to the publicly accessible list of current inmates in the Mobile Metro Jail, Damion Tamorius Little was booked into jail early Sunday morning on a murder charge. He was also charged with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied building or vehicle, drug possession, felony receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. It’s not clear if he was arrested in connection to the overnight death in Prichard or a different incident. We’ve reached out to Prichard Police for more information and are waiting to hear back.

ORIGINAL STORY
A suspect is in custody after a Saturday night shooting leaves one dead and another injured.
According to a press release from The City of Prichard:
On 1/26/2019 @ approximately 2200 hrs, officers responded to the 400 block of Minnie B. Turnbo Dr, in reference to a shooting incident involving a juvenile. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital where he later died. The juvenile’s mother was also injured in this incident, and was also taken to the same hospital where she was immediately taken up for surgery. A blk male suspect has been taken into custody, and will be charged with multiple offenses, one of which will be Murder. The identity of the deceased male subject will not be released at this time, due to him being a juvenile, and out of respect for the family. This investigation is ongoing.
