Last Rolling Thunder ride

(CNN) -Hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists are in the nation’s capital Sunday to participate in the Rolling Thunder ride. Organizers say it’s the event’s final ride. But President Trump says that’s not the case. In a tweet he said: theHundreds of thousands of motorcyclists are in the nation’s capital Sunday to participate in the Rolling Thunder ride.  great patriots of rolling thunder will be coming back to Washington, D.D. next year, & hopefully for many years to come. It is where they want to be, & where they should be. After the tweet, Rolling Thunder president Joe Bean said that as of right now, the group was still planning to have this year’s ride be their last in Washington.

Organizers said the costs of putting on the national ride have become prohibitive, with last year’s event costing about 200-thousand dollars for various expenses.

The ride pays tribute to service members killed in action or taken as prisoners of war.
