LUCEDALE, Miss. (WKRG) – When 53-year-old Mark Brannan died in a motorcycle crash, his family didn’t want people to send flowers. They wanted people to send motorcycles. And more than 50 showed up for his funeral Sunday at the George County Funeral Home. Bikers from across Alabama and Mississippi, including members of four motorcycle clubs showed up to send Mark on his final journey home.

Brannan died Thursday morning when is motorcycle hit a guardrail at a dead end in Tillman’s Corner. Police say Brannan was traveling south on Inn Road possibly unaware the road was a dead-end and hit the guard rail. Brannan was thrown from the motorcycle and died from his injuries, police reported. It was one of two deadly motorcycle cranes Thursday in the Mobile area.

The Black Top Posse MC organized the ride and says Brannan’s family would also like folks to send donations to St. Jude in the MC’s name.
