SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) — A man arrested this week in a Baldwin County murder case has also been indicted on federal drug charges.

Kendrick Patrick was arrested Tuesday and charged in the murder of Skyler Williams, whose body was found dumped along Majors Creek in Stockton Monday night.

According to court documents filed last week, a grand jury has indicted Patrick and six other people on charges related to the possession and distribution of cocaine and heroin.

The indictment was issued on April 24, just five days before Williams was murdered.

Investigators said the murder of Skyler Williams was drug-related. They also said Patrick tried to shoot a second victim who managed to get away.

Bond was set Thursday at $500,000 for the murder, attempted murder, and shooting into an occupied building charges related to the shooting in Spanish Fort. However, Patrick is being held on no bond in the federal case.

The other people named in the federal drug indictment are Jeremy Snowden, Keith Kidd, Quantis Clark, Brittany Jackson, Eddie Padgett, and Karl Padgett.
