SILVERHILL, Ala. (WKRG) – The Town of Silverhill is actively looking to fill several positions within the police department.

Interim Chief John Branscomb tells News 5 he currently has 2 full-time positions open for officers, but he is willing to consider any candidate who may be interested in part-time employment, as well.

Applicants must be APOST certified. Anyone interested in employment should email jbranscomb@townofsilverhill.org

The chief of police position is also vacant. Interim Chief Branscomb tells us the town is accepting resumes for the top cop of Silverhill.

There’s no word on the mayor’s position, left vacant last month when mayor Timmy Wilson resigned. Wilson left the post to spend more time with his wife and family.

News 5 is waiting to hear back from town officials on the status of that position.
