Phone threats in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach not believed to be credible

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Police departments in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are looking into a series of threatening phone calls.

An internet caller claimed to have a possible explosive device and was threatening to place it somewhere.

According to Orange Beach Police, some of the calls mentioned “suspicious packages” left on front porches.

Police checked out several locations but did not find anything.

At this time, they say the threats do not appear to be credible.

The Orange Beach Police Department is investigating the source of the calls.
