Opening of container park in Spanish Fort delayed

Baldwin County

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) – Developers say The Fort Container Park won’t open as planned on Friday, January 18. In a news release, Jake Szczepanski with Cypress Equities said the newest addition to Spanish Fort Town Center is “not quite ready for guests”.

The food and beverage container park will have ten repurposed shipping containers that will be functioning retail and restaurant spaces.

“Great progress in construction has been accomplished over recent weeks, but the individual operators need more time to put finishing touches on the containers before they are ready to professionally attend to patrons.  But we promise, as the old adage goes, good things come to those that wait,” said Szczepanski.

Developers have not released a new opening date.
