BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A motorcyclist is facing charges after leading police on a chase along I-10 in Baldwin County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash happened near exit 38 in Malbis on Monday, April 15.

Officers were trying to pull over the motorcyclist riding a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle for speeding.

The motorcyclist then hit the back of another trooper’s vehicle and crashed.

Troopers say the motorcyclist, Michael Anthony Jacob, 27, of Saraland was taken the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Tuesday afternoon, Jacob was released from the hospital and arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and attempting to elude law enforcement and has been transported to the Baldwin County Corrections Center.  Troopers also say he faces several traffic-related offenses.
