Motorcycle mystery: Police find expensive Harley in Gulf Shores canal

Baldwin County

GULF SHORES, Ala (WKRG) – Police in Gulf Shores are trying to solve a motorcycle mystery. They discovered a high-end Harley Davidson abandoned, in the canal. The orange Harley Davidson Road Glide was covered in muck and mud when they pulled in from the water.

According to a Facebook post by the police department, officers are trying to clean up the bike to get the vehicle identification numbers but have so far found them tampered with. That could indicate it was stolen. They also shared a picture of what the bike probably looked like before it was sunk. A base-model Road Glide has an MSRP of about $22,000
