FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — Police are hoping someone in the community can help them identify a man wanted for a “quick change” scam at a bank.
In this sort of crime, the suspect typical walks up to a teller or cashier at a business and asks to change a bill. While the worker begins to hand over cash, the suspect will then hand over more money and ask for a different amount of change, all in an effort to confuse the worker. The suspect eventually walks away with more cash than when they started.
Police say the crime they’re trying to solve happened on January 24, but they have not said at which bank the crime occurred.
The suspect is believed to be around 30-40 years old. In the surveillance photos from the bank, the suspect is seen wearing a dark vest over a white shirt, as well as a blue baseball cap.
Anyone who knows who the suspect is should call Foley Police at (251) 943-4431.
