FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — OWA in Foley held auditions for the CBS reality show Survivor on Saturday. Hundreds of contestants were in line, but at the end of the day, there can only be one survivor.
News 5 met Jason Flick in line to audition. He said, “It took me like, almost 12 hours to get here.” Flick hopes this time when the tribe has spoken, he survives. He said, “I am more determined than anybody else here, so you’ve gotta get me on the show.”
This isn’t Flick’s first time auditioning for the show. Flick said, “(Dana): How many have you been to? (Jason): Today makes my 21st.”
Flick’s audition at OWA marks the 16th state he’s traveled too, trying to join the cast. He said, “Last week I was in Temple, Texas.”
But Kristin Hellmich with OWA says getting on the show may not be as hard as Flick thinks. She said, “Bring your best personality, your biggest smile, and just really showcase who you are, and that’s really what they’re looking for.”
Flick hasn’t let previous failures stand in the way of his dream, and even if this isn’t his day, he says he’ll be back. He said, “Over the last four years, I’ve decided, in my life, this is my goal, to get on the show, to be, because I know that I could do it and I know I could win.”
