Four people rescued in Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG) –A total of four people were pulled from the rough surf in Gulf Shores Monday.

Red flags were posted along all Alabama beaches warning of the risk of rip currents and waves breaking at three to four feet.

According to the Gulf Shores Beach Safety Director Joethan Phillips none of the swimmers pulled to safety by lifeguards were hospitalized and are expected to make a full recovery.

Dangerous surf conditions are expected to last through the weekend.
