Baldwin County, Ala (WKRG) — Students in Baldwin County return to class bright and early Wednesday morning. This year, students will see several changes and new additions.
The first big addition is that every Baldwin County Public School campus will have a school resource officer. Schools will also have a single point of entry, cameras, monitors, and panic buttons.
New dress code policies will also affect middle and high school students. Polo shirts are no longer required, but no pictures or writings on clothing that could be deemed as offensive will be allowed. No sleeveless garments will be allowed. For girls, dresses should be at fingertip or mid-thigh length.
High school students will now have more lunch options. Lunchrooms will now use two different serving lines: There will be a regular hot line and a “fast food” line.
When driving to school, as always, slow down and watch for buses and students crossings in school zones.
