Crowds brave the cold at Fairhope Arts Fest, other events

Baldwin County

FAIRHOPE, Ala (WKRG) — Saturday’s cold weather didn’t stop people from going to the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival.  Shoppers put on their  sweaters and jackets and enjoyed seeing art from around the country. The artists say they were fine with the cold and were glad they stayed dry Saturday. The festival runs Sunday from 10-5 as well.

A little farther north, people bundled up in blankets at the Spanish Fort baseball complex. Opening games of the season made it feel a lot more like the boys of winter rather than the boys of summer.

In Mobile, the cold weather did not damper the moods of the folks who lined the streets for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
