BCSO search for local theft suspect

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) — Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a theft suspect wanted for breaking into a local radio station. 

A few months ago at Power 88 in Malbis/Spanish Fort, someone broke in and stole $10,000 worth of equipment. Then on Wednesday, October 3rd someone broke in again, but this time was caught on security cameras.

Photos show the suspect wearing a bandana over the face with a baseball cap. Surveillance video shows the person carrying a large cutting tool. The suspect is then seen leaving the property with a piece of hard line. It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The following was posted on Power 88’s Facebook page:

“Last Wednesday morning around 2:30, our transmitter site in Spanish Fort (Power 88) was broken into. This is the second theft that we are aware of. However, this time we were able to get video of the individual. If you recognize this person, please call officer Lindell with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department at 251-972-8589 opt. 6 and reference case #3933.”
