A 12 and a half foot alligator was found, killed and removed from a Daphne park Sunday afternoon.
Photos sent to us by a News 5 viewer shows the alligator being moved into a truck. The gator was found at May Day Park around 2:30 pm.
Chris Nix, an Alligator Program Coordinator with the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, says they get a tremendous amount of nuisance alligator calls a year. If at all possible game wardens will try to relocate the alligators, but if the gator has been fed at all it will need to removed and killed.
Nix reminds people to never feed alligators.
Ashley Menefee saw a gator just south of May Day park at the McMillan Ave beach access. She says the gator was 10 feet long.
