Shamonee Baker joined WKRG News 5 as a multimedia journalist for the city of Mobile in June 2022. Native to the Gulf Coast, Shamonee is from Fort Walton Beach, Florida and is excited to share the stories of the 251.
Since the fourth grade, Shamonee has had dreams of becoming a journalist. Her love for community interaction, meeting new people and talking of course is what motivated her to become a journalist.
Shamonee graduated from Florida A&M University in April 2022. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
When Shamonee isn’t telling the stories of the community, she likes to spend time with friends, explore Mobile and try the newest eateries downtown.
