Robby Baker is the weekend sports anchor and a sports reporter with WKRG.
Before joining the WKRG team, Robby worked for the San Diego Union-Tribune as a sports MMJ and spent the last two years as a sports reporter/producer in Phoenix, Arizona. During his career he has covered major events such as the Super Bowl, College Football Playoffs, the Final Four and multiple PGA golf tournaments. He has experience covering all major professional sports, having reported on the Arizona Cardinals, San Diego Chargers, Arizona Coyotes, Arizona Diamondbacks and more.
Robby has a strong passion for collegiate and high school athletics, covering the stories, traditions and rivalries that make this such a powerful influence on our communities and our lives. He enjoys sharing stories that show a side of the athlete beyond the field of play.
Robby is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where he won an Emmy and other numerous national awards for his anchoring work on the award-winning “Cronkite News” airing on Arizona PBS.
An avid runner that hails from the Arizona desert, Robby is excited to now live so close to the beach.
