Lexi Birmingham

Lexi Birmingham is the weekend morning meteorologist.

Lexi comes from a military family, so she moved around quite a bit, experiencing a variety of
weather elements from tornadoes, to snow, to hurricanes. These would be just a few of the
stepping stones to fuel her love for studying the weather. Her family eventually moved to
Niceville, Florida in 2004 just before Hurricane Ivan would impact the Gulf Coast. This would
lead Lexi into her journey to become a meteorologist.

Lexi graduated from Florida State University with her degree in meteorology along with a
certificate in emergency management in 2017. She landed her first broadcast job at KAMC in
Lubbock, Texas as the weekend evening meteorologist and stayed there until 2019. She moved
on to KTVE/KARD in West Monroe, Louisiana in 2019 as the weekday morning meteorologist,
where she covered multiple weather events including the winter storms of 2021, the Easter
Sunday tornadoes in 2020 along with Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. Lexi eventually
landed right here at WKRG in September of 2022 as the weekend morning meteorologist.

When she’s not working, Lexi likes to run and exercise, hang out with her dog, Navee and loves
to watch movies or anything involving Marvel. She is excited to work for an amazing news
station and is excited to be back home along the Gulf Coast.

You can follow her on Facebook and Twitter and send her an email at abirmingham@wkrg.com
