Brianna Hollis

Brianna joined the WKRG team in October 2018. She reports for the evening newscasts in both Mobile and Baldwin Counties but focuses her attention on the Eastern Shore.

She’s deeply passionate about three things: journalism, volleyball and the New England Patriots. She comes to the Gulf Coast from the bitter cold of Wausau, Wisconsin – so being born-and-raised in Southern California, Brianna is thrilled to be back by the beach and in the warm weather. She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston where she studied Journalism and played for the school’s DI volleyball team.

After graduating, she worked for the Fox affiliate in Boston as writer/producer for the station’s 6-hour morning show. It was there she fell in love with TV news and got the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. She worked there for a year-and-a-half before jetting off to Wisconsin for her first MMJ job. There, she was recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcast Association for excellence in live on-scene reporting, as well as her investigative work covering turmoil at the state’s youth prison.

On the weekends, you can catch Brianna playing local volleyball tournaments in both Alabama and Florida. Story idea? Email Brianna atbhollis@wkrg.com.
