Brett Greenberg

Brett Greenberg joined WKRG news in June of 2022, as a Digital Content Producer. Brett comes to Gulf Coast after spending two years with the Tuscaloosa News as an intern covering University of Alabama athletics, primarily as the Alabama Softball Team Beat Writer, as well as prep sports in the Tuscaloosa/West Alabama area. Brett has provided coverage for the 2021 SEC softball tournament, Montana Fouts’ perfect game in the Women’s College World Series, NFL/NBA Draft coverage, Coach Nick Saban’s comments regarding Texas A&M, among other things.

Prior to that, Brett worked as an intern with Score Atlanta covering prep sports in the North Metro Atlanta area as well as contributing to Atlanta Falcons training camp coverage. Before this, Brett spent a summer in Marietta, Ga. providing coverage for premier baseball players throughout the country for Perfect Game Baseball.

Born and raised in the South roughly 40 minutes north of Atlanta, Ga. in Johns Creek, Brett is very excited to make the move closer to beachfronts. Brett also received his bachelor’s in news media while minoring in services marketing from the University of Alabama in May of 2022.

When he is not covering an event, you can find Brett at any type of sporting event where there is popcorn served, binge watching the Sopranos/Seinfeld or bricking three points attempts at your local YMCA.

Brett brings several years of experience in storytelling and a keen understanding of what makes a story better than its competitors.
