WKRG First Alert Weather

Weekend Flash

July 04 2008
Alan Sealls This weekend we've got a flash- of lightning. Actually scattered storms producing flashes of lightning. We are locked into a typical Gulf Coast summertime pattern. Winds stay light from the south, humidity stays high, so from time to time we'll see scattered showers and thunderstorms. Greatest rain chances will be in the middle of the afternoons as the sea breeze moves inland. Sunday looks even wetter so some outdoor activities might be delayed.

Overnight lows stick in the lower 70s and afternoon highs reach the upper 80s.

Tropical Storm Bertha is in the far eastern Atlantic near the Cape Verde islands. <a href="http://weather.wkrg.com/wx.php?config=&forecast=tropsystems&year=2008®i>Tropical Storm Bertha </a>is no threat to us.
