The main road to Lower Bryant Landing in the Stockton community in North Baldwin County is completely underwater! People living at "The Landing" are cut-off by road...boat travel is the only form of transportation."I've been here about three years and the record books go back to about 1980 since it's been this high," says Harry Wilson."
People here have no electricity. When the Tensaw River spilled its banks and crested at flood stage earlier this week, it knocked out power to this mobile home and houseboat community. R-V's, cars, porches and patios are underwater.
"We'll have this water until next week," says Wilson.
"Highest I've seen since I've been here in eight years," says Al Shock. Shock is running a water taxi and is transporting locals to and from their homes. "River is higher than normal, makes fishing better. Thank God it's not raining, though."
