People in Dixie, Alabama are trying to salvage what's left of their homes after a nasty storm ripped through the small town Sunday causing big damage. The storm flipped trailers, snapped trees, and crushed homes. We talked with one neighbor who rode out the storm in her hallway. It's a miracle she's still here to talk about it,"it started the swirling, the sound, the roar, and I knew then that I had to get somewhere for safety and I went to the hall of the house and laid down and it just five minutes later it was over," said neighbor, Elaine Catoe. Catoe is just thankful she walked away from the damage, but her home of more than 50 years was destroyed. Click here to sign up for News 5 First Alert Storm Alerts.
