I have a knee jerk reaction now every time i hear flood stage since katrina.I check for my door blocks,check to see if my sump pump is operating,if i have my hoses available to drain water from under my slab and pray to the powers that be to keep a brisk north wind blowing to keep the water of Bayou Sara flowing to the gulf,and all the time in my mind hearing Dolly Pardon singing"Here is comes again”.LORD!LORD! I guess i should just learn the back stroke.
