Blinding rain kept drivers from seeing the washed out road.
However, Joelean McDuffie, who lives on Old Pascagoula Road, said, now, too many people are seeing it.
She said many people are coming to look at it.
McDuffie said its often "nosy, busy bodies that don't have anything to do. They stop right here. They bring cars in."
McDuffie told a story of one group she saw.
She said, "The other day, they brought a carload of kids and let them wade in there (the water) with all the snakes. There are moccasins everywhere in there."
The washed out road is inconveniencing motorists, too.
Lee Tunstall of Theodore said, "It's been a pain since it has (been) out. We have to go all the way around: three miles to work turned into nine miles."
On Wednesday, the Mobile County Commission approved money to fix the road.
Commissioner Mike Dean said crews have already done preparation work at the site, but repairs start Monday.
He still hopes to have the repairs done in two weeks, but he said, "We do know that we got a little rain coming, but we're going to do the best we can."
