Heat Wave: Keeping The Elderly & Disabled Safe

Alabama Heat  The triple digit heat we're seeing on the Gulf Coast can be extremely dangerous for both the elderly and the disabled. That's why the City Of Prichard is encouraging people to sign up for Operation Roll Call.

The triple digit heat/heat indices we're seeing on the Gulf Coast can be extremely dangerous for both the elderly and the disabled. That's why the City Of Prichard is encouraging people to sign up for Operation Roll Call.

Employees with the Prichard Fire Department call people who have signed up to make sure they're okay. If there is no answer after several calls, a firefighter will go to their home to check on them.

Anyone interested in signing up for Operation Roll Call should call 251.452.7817.
