There are major traffic delays in the Elberta area. Terry Wilhite with the Baldwin County School System says an oak tree fell into the roadway not far from Elberta Elementary and there are substantial traffic back ups. At 8:07 this morning, some buses serving Elberta were still trying to get to the school. Administrators and parents have been alerted to expect bus delays and late students. Also, buses traveling in the Bon Secour have also been delayed. Some roads are impassable in that area.
-REMINDER-
Yesterday, school officials cancelled tonight's county-wide Band Festival, which had been slated for Daphne High School. It will not be rescheduled.
There is heavy flooding around County Road 20 at Willis Rd. Drivers in the area need to use caution. Remember turn around, don't drown.
